LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR HISTORY

Korsnäs’ historical archive in Bomhus contains material on many important aspects of Swedish industrial history. The history of ironmaking and industrial estates in Uppland province and of the Walloons who immigrated in the 17th century can be found here. So too some of the history of the industrial estates of Gästrikland and Dalarna. The archive includes material on the history of forestry and sawmills in Dalarna, Gästrikland and Hälsingland from the mid-19th century onwards.

The archive is generally open to visitors and scholars on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. You are cordially invited to view the collections.

Please notify archivist Hans Wahlbom of your visit in advance.
