Rapatachuset activity centre
The aim of the Rapatac initiative is for all children to complete their schooling and have access to productive and secure leisure activities. The idea is to give children and young people in the city of Gävle a sound start in life and to encourage them to take a positive view of the future. The initiative has already achieved a lot, through stimulating leisure activities for young people and by developing their ability to take responsibility for their lives and actions. An activity centre is now planned – bringing together the organisation’s various activities under one roof.

Rapatachuset is the name given to the youth activity centre to be built in Gävle. Rapatachuset will also include a technology section – Rapatek – where curiosity and confidence will be encouraged. Korsnäs has already signed up as a “Rapatac star” sponsor to support Rapatek with funding and know-how.

Moussa N’diaye, the founder of Rapatachuset, is very pleased with Korsnäs’ cooperation and support: “Korsnäs understands what we want to achieve. They’ve given us legitimacy and they have so much knowledge to offer through their work with Rapatek. There’s a strong interest in technology among children and young people. Some children have actually said it’s even more fun than a birthday party.”
